Music Discovery II - Kenyan Boys Choir

The Kenyan Boys Choir consists of 25 school boys, aged between 13 and 24, from various Kenyan backgrounds and tribes, brought together by their self-taught founder, Joseph Muyale. Formerly an independent collective, the choir gained widespread recognition and international media coverage in early 2009 after performing at Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony in Washington, D.C. The choir currrently tours the UK and Ireland to promote their new album "The Spirit Of Africa". We will get the chance to seem them live at the National Concert Hall in Dublin on next Tuesday, April 20, 2010.

Der Kenyan Boys Choir besteht aus 25 Schuljungen im Alter von 13 und 24 Jahren. Alle kommen aus verschiedenen kenianischen Hintergründen und Stämmen - zusammengebracht von ihrem Gründer, Joseph Muyale. Früher als unabhängige Gruppe bekannt, bekam der Chor breite Anerkennung und internationale Präsenz Anfang 2009 als sie bei Barack Obama's Vereidigung in Washington, D.C. auftraten. Im Moment ist das Ensemble auf Tour in Grossbritannien und Irland um ihr aktuelles Album "The Spirit Of Africa" vorzustellen. Am nächsten Dienstag, 20. April 2010 werden wir die Chance bekommen die Jungs in der National Concert Hall in Dublin live zu erleben.

Well, well, to be honest, we're extremely lazy in terms of posting stuff. Actually it's due to lack of time. We had such a great time in Kenya and if you follow us at Twitter you know what we're talking about...next up...hopefully a nice summer.  Ja, ja, um ehrlich zu sein, sind wir wirklich sehr faul wenn es darum geht hier etwas zu posten. Aber das hat auch zeitliche Gründe, es fehlt einfach an Zeit. Wir hatten so eine schöne Zeit in Kenia und falls Ihr uns bei Twitter begleitet, wisst Ihr, von was wir sprechen. Als nächstes kommt hoffentlich ein schöner Sommer.
